BDA’s Coding Connection

The Coding Connection is an exclusive resource developed for all BDA clients.

The primary purpose of the Coding Connection is to provide you and your staff, with total access to timely and accurate information and recommendations to your coding questions.

You may contact us by any of the following:

• Phone our office at 317.247.8014 with your question and you will be referred to your regional director or another certified coder.
• Fax your question to 317.803.4154, using the Coding Connection Form that we provide for all BDA clients. [Please feel free to make copies for future use]

Please include copies of information such as chart notes, history form, etc., that you feel, would assist the coding staff to clearly understand your question. [Pertinent information to
consider sending with your question may include operative & progress notes, testing results, EOPs, EOBs or other info that you feel may assist us in understanding your question.] When
sending Patient Health Information, please de-identify the documents according to your HIPAA policy.

Email your question and information to the attention of your Regional Director. If you do not have your RD.s e-mail, please call our Office at 317.247.8014.

In most cases, your RD will respond to you with a written response within 24 to 48 hours. If your RD is not available to answer your question within the 24/48 time frame, you will be
notified, and will be given a date of when to expect a reply. If your question is time sensitive, please notify the office that an immediate response is required.
