January 1 is the day when the new, revised, deleted CPT codes go into effect. Are you taking the time before the first of January to make sure you are not leaving any money on the table?
First determine if you have sufficient systems in place to add new codes, delete the old codes, and revise existing codes while educating the staff. If your staff is not on board with the changes, denials and a decrease in revenue will occur.
